The committee in charge of the Pac-12 unpaid amateur athlete cartel collegiate athletics conference, including universities such as UCLA, Arizona State University, and the University of Oregon, has decided it will bless esports by allowing its television network to produce a conference league as well as a conference tournament.

This group of supervisors are uppercase S users, however that might not be the biggest concern with regards to the student esport orgs that have just become unilaterally involved in establishment of this conference’s esports activities. Two things seem like clear issues that will blow up heading into the 2016-17 academic year:

Additionally, the language in the statement reads as if they’re going to choose one particular game to focus their production budget on… so is that going to be Heroes of the Storm or will another popular mainstream esport like CS:GO become the game of choice?
